20+ Birthday Freebies that are Actually Worth it (No Purchase Required)

Most birthday freebie lists focus on free food. While there are tons of food options worth mentioning, I wanted to make this list as inclusive as possible, so the only food included = coffee, juice, smoothies, and popcorn. All my vegan and gluten free friends can partake in the freebie fun! Check out the best free birthday gifts, birthday rewards, and birthday promotions here!

None of the birthday freebies require you to make a purchase to receive them. Only truly free freebies here!

Here’s how to treat yourself on your birthday without touching your budget. ⬇️

First, Prepare for the Freebies

I recommend you sign up for rewards (and add your birthday to your account!) at least one month before your birthday and download the apps so you can easily save and redeem the offers.

Check your email and app notifications at the beginning of your birthday month. Some offers are only valid for a few days or must be redeemed in-store. You don’t want to miss your freebies!

There are a couple fun options for redeeming your freebies. You could make a day of it and collect all your freebies on your actual birthday OR you could choose to add your birthday as a different month across rewards programs so you have freebies to look forward to year-round. This might be a good option if your birthday typically falls on a holiday when stores are closed. Just be aware that some programs may require an ID and you may only be able to redeem them on your actual birthday.

Another way to get additional birthday rewards is to rope in a partner who is uninterested in rewards so you can have theirs. What’s better than one Sephora freebie? Getting my husband’s freebie too! 😉

 Let’s get to it!

Retail

 Kohls

  • You can receive a $5 Kohl's Cash reward during your birthday month. There are a surprising number of items at Kohl’s for under $5! Plus, if you go to a Kohl’s location with a Sephora inside, you can redeem your free Sephora birthday gift as well. Two freebies in one location!
